Install and sign in
Fast Bounce is a desktop app for macOS and Windows. Install it next to Pro Tools, sign in once, and it stays signed in.
Requirements
| Pro Tools | 2024.10 or later. |
| macOS | macOS 12.7 or later. One universal build for Apple silicon and Intel. |
| Windows | Windows 10 (22H2) or Windows 11. |
| Account | A Fast Bounce account. The free plan works without a card. |
Fast Bounce talks to Pro Tools through PTSL, the scripting interface that ships with Pro Tools. There is no plug-in to install.
Download and install
- macOS: download the latest build, open the disk image and drag Fast Bounce to Applications. The app is signed and notarized, so it opens without warnings.
- Windows: download the installer and run it.
Both links always point at the newest release. After that, updates come from inside the app: it checks once per launch and never updates in the middle of a bounce (see Settings).
On first launch you'll see Sign in to Fast Bounce.
- Email and password: the account you created on fastbounce.app. Don't have one? Create an account opens the sign-up page in your browser.
- Continue with Google: opens your browser. Once you've chosen an account, the browser sends you back to the app. If nothing happens, click Open Browser Again.
You stay signed in between launches. Signing out is in Settings › Account.
An account can be signed in on a limited number of computers at once. If you see "This account is signed in on too many computers", sign out on one you no longer use, or remove it from the dashboard.
Connect to Pro Tools
Fast Bounce finds Pro Tools on its own. The badge at the top right of the title bar tells you where things stand:
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pro Tools with a green dot | Connected. The session open in Pro Tools can get new bounces. |
| No session open | Pro Tools is running with no session open. You can still run the queue: Fast Bounce opens sessions itself. |
| Connecting… | Looking for Pro Tools. |
| Pro Tools not running | Open Pro Tools, then click the badge to retry. |
With Pro Tools connected and a session open, you're ready for Your first bounce.
The free plan
Every feature is included, with two limits: up to 4 bounces per session and one session per run. Subscribe or buy a license to lift both and to get the email report. Plans are compared on the pricing page and explained in Account, plans and offline access.
