General

Open Settings, choose how Fast Bounce looks, keep it on top of Pro Tools, and keep it up to date.

Press ⌘, or click the gear in the title bar to open Settings. It opens in its own window, and every change applies right away. Settings has six panes, in this order: General, Bounce Defaults, Naming Rules, Shortcuts, Support and Account. General is where you set up the window and updates.

Window

  • Appearance: Light, Dark or Match system, which follows your computer's appearance.
  • Keep on top of Pro Tools: keeps the Fast Bounce window above Pro Tools, so you can watch the queue while you work in your session. The pin in the title bar does the same.

Updates

  • The Version row shows what you have installed, with Check Now and Release Notes ↗. What's new in … shows the notes for the version you're on.
  • Check for updates automatically: once per launch. You're told when a version is available; nothing is downloaded or installed on its own, and never in the middle of a bounce. When an update is ready, Download and Restart installs it, or choose Later. Occasionally an update is required and can't be postponed.
  • Get beta updates: try new features early. You move to the final release when it ships.
